Robert Altman

Robert Altman films were very interesting because hes style is different from other directors. He gives the viewers the option of making there own generalization. He creates a mood that gives us the viewers an inside look on the story by making it relatable. I personally i didnt like his movies because there wasnt a centreal "idea." There were too many charters and that caused me to get confused and lose intrest in the film. For example, Nashvillle was based on country music and that right there made it very boring for me. There were also 24 main charters and it made it very difficult to concentrate on a single character to root for. I keep on getting side tracked by the horrible music and the outrageous amount of charters that i kept on being introduced to. Although i didnt like the plot he made a great comparison between politics and entertainment. It made alot of sense and gave the viewers something to think about. He also has a way of capturing images that affect people and the way he moves the lense makes it intresting to watch. Another movie i enjoyed was the long goodbye it was my favorite film that made about friendship and how it can be misleading and at times deadly. i really liked that movie. Although im not a big fan i do understand and respect his work. Im also saddened that he died without getting an oscar for his films. I know that he deserved it and he really was man of his job.
